Functions and objectives

  1. Initiate and strengthen interdisciplinary lines of research in the area of Vocational Training.
  2. Develop joint research projects with vocational training centres aimed at innovation in vocational training and the transfer of results.
  3. Present projects in regional, state, European or international aid programmes.
  4. Participate in research networks in Vocational Training at national, European and international levels.
  5. Strengthen links with relevant actors in Vocational Training outside the academic sphere (training centres, Administration, companies, and Third Sector, among others).
  6. Establish collaboration agreements with associations and public or private agencies that facilitate the achievement of LRIF’s objectives.
  7. Participate in public events and disseminate in the media to publicise the work on Vocational Training at the UlB.
  8. Co-direct bachelor’s, masters’ and doctoral theses.
  9. Propose masters’ and postgraduate studies and specialisation courses.
  10. Organise conferences, seminars and other training and dissemination activities.
  11. Advise and prepare studies and reports.
  12. Represent, where appropriate, the UIB in national and international activities, congresses, and conferences on state of the art.
